TRAVEL & LODGING
INFORMATION
TRAVEL: Beaver Island is exactly that an island.
Travel to and from the island is done in only two ways, by boat
or plane. If you will be traveling to the island, we suggest that
you plan at least a month in advance if possible. You can do this
by contacting the Beaver Island Boat Co. @ 231-448-2210 or Island
Airways @ 231-448-2071 – also new is Fresh Air Aviation @ 231-448-2089 –
for detailed information about cost and schedules. There offices
are both located on Beaver Island and in Charlevoix, Michigan
and they can assist you in your transportation needs to the island.
You can also visit their web sites at www.bibco.com, www.islandairways.com, www.freshairaviation.net .
LODGING: At the Beaver Island Music Festival,
we have camping facilities available during the festival. Campers who wish
to camp quietly or with small children will be able to camp in
a separate designated area out front, we will be closely monitoring
this area. The campsite is located a very short distance from
the main event grounds. We offer a rustic camping environment
with restrooms, drinking water, and a hand washing station. Food
venders will be on site Friday thru Sunday. There is no electric
or phone service on sight. Refer to Facility Information for more
details about our grounds. Camping passes will be available at
the gate on the first day of the event at a charge of $5.00 per
person or in advance with advance tickets. If you prefer not to camp Beaver Island offers many other
alternatives for lodging. We suggest that if you choose to stay
in town you make reservations as soon as possible.
SPECIAL NOTE: Please take time to visit other Beaver Island web
sites and the Chamber of
Commerce to learn more about our island and the many things
to see and do while you visit. Plan some time or an extra day
to visit our local businesses and restaurants, historical sites,
check out the natural environment (beaches, walking trails, ect.),
and to enjoy the life of Beaver Island.
